Description: 
Romney for President, Inc. is recruiting current college students and recent college graduates for spring internships at its campaign headquarters in Boston, MA. Interns will be assigned to various divisions within the campaign ranging from fundraising, political operations, general campaign operations, press/communications, and policy. 

We are looking for high-energy, enthusiastic candidates who are willing to work hard. Students interested in studying government, political science, public policy, communication, speech, and English are encouraged to apply, though all interested students are welcome. 

All internships are unpaid positions. Hours for spring internships are flexible, dependent on student class schedules. The spring internship program will officially begin on January 16th and end on May 11th, though individual start and end dates are negotiable. 

Individuals interested in a spring internship with the campaign should apply as soon as possible.

Description: 
Overview of the Office 

The Public and International Affairs Office in Washington, D.C. is a satellite office of the Public Affairs Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The three goals of the 
office are to: 
  1.  Increase awareness
  2.  Provide answers  
  3.  Build bridges.
International and U.S. government outreach is essential to accomplishing these goals. Each year, the office hosts events to strengthen relationships with ambassadors to the United States and other diplomats to increase awareness of the Church and its missions among the international community. Some of these events include the Festival of Lights Celebration at the Washington, D.C. Temple, a Western Family Picnic, and a luncheon for Ambassadors' Wives. 

Additionally, the office monitors legislation and other events on Capitol Hill and elsewhere that may significantly affect the Church and its members. 

Intern Duties and Responsibilities 
The Public and International Affairs Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking an intern during winter semester 2012. The internship will last approximately 16 weeks (full time). 
Depending on his/her skills and interests, an intern could expect to assist with planning, execution, and follow-up for the events listed above. He/she should demonstrate outstanding skills in writing, creativity, research, problem solving, interpersonal communication, and detailed event planning. He/she will also be expected to help with office tasks, running errands, writing letters, assisting with mass mailings, reception duties, etc. Preference will be given students already accepted into an International Studies, Political Science, or Public Relations program at an accredited university, although students in other programs are also encouraged to apply. 
Interns will be expected to wear Sunday dress and act professionally and to meet the internship credit criteria of their sponsoring university, if applicable.

The time has come for the Edelman PR applications. Tom Knox will be coming on November 8th (Tuesday) to do interviews for the Spring/Summer Edelman internship opportunities. Information on the internship information and application process can be obtained in the Internship Office. Applications are due October 31st and should be sent to Tom Knox (tom.knox@edelman.com)

Those that are asked to interview will be contacted  that week to arrange an interview time. Interviews will be between 8am and 2pm on Tuesday, November 8th.
